THIS CONFERENCE IS FOR YOU! TEACH for LA Spring 2022

he TEACH for LA 2023 conference will be held in partnership with the Community Partnerships for Teacher Pipeline (CPTP) program on Tuesday, May 2nd and Wednesday, May 3rd.

The conference will have a variety of breakout sessions to choose from, including sessions on early childhood education, TK-12 education, special education, social justice, and hands-on strategies for an effective classroom.

Those registered for the conference will have access to whatever sessions your schedule allows. Breakout session links will be sent the day before the session to all registered.

Workshop on the application process to obtain a Child Development Permit with a school-age emphasis. This is for students who are interestd in working with elementary are children (6-12 years of age).

Meet and greet college representatives from area Schools of Education to learn about various education and child development program transfer options.

A professional development workshop for students and educators interested in learning how to advocate and foster inclusion and acceptance of LGBTQ+ children and families in the school setting. At the end of the workshop attendees will receive a certificate of completion.

Loyola Marymount University (LMU) and TEACH El Camino will present an information session for students to learn more about the programs. The Lion for a Day Program is designed to facilitate difficult transitions for 5th, 8th, and 11th grade students as they move from one level of their education to the next one.
